im still alive

im back, its been ages since i posted, but i have been working so hard on mastermind. its really drawing me in. ill put up a few of the character design sketches soon for you guys

i LOVE linux and kilts

ok i got an aspire one, its a teeny tiney netbook about half the size of a small laptop. this in itself is a wonderfull new gadget to write on and to brows the net, about the only fault i can find with it is the horible small touchpad. be advised if your tempted to get one, get a usb mouse as well.

the one thing that scared me shitless was the fact that it, along with most netbooks came pre installed with a linux os called limpus. I didnt like the idea, as most part time computer users do, of leaving the comfortable settings of windows, i already found mack os to be scary and hard to get a handle on, so i wasnt looking foward to dealing with an alien os.

and yes its been a good experience for me. well i must admit i was inspred on by the fact that linux and all its programs are absolutly free! and so im getting a basic handle on the program and im loving it.

just since i havent posted a pic in a while here one of me at the bear tent (or "bearia") at brighton pride this year and why was i so smug you ask, i was looking up my friends ians kilt of coarse as he was taking the picture

well i have finally got photoshop CS3 loaded onto my lappy, and i've been practicing with. just playing about with all the little effects.

now sorry i haven't been doing much in the way of artwork lately, i've actually been focusing on working on the script and character designs for the new comicbook series i'm working on, called mastermind. i decided it was time to get off my rump and actually do this comic i've been talking about for a while now. and id have to thank my DB for pushing me to do it, and helping me in the creative project. hell hes practically my writing staff now.

who or what is mastermind you ask, well your just going to have to find out....

sorry, i had a bit of a technical problem, or rather every tech problem that could go wrong did. after i came off holiday i found my laptop busted, the pin in the plug had gone, so no lappy
that meant no artwork to be scand and edited, and no blogging, so sorry about that. of coarse the shop was useless at fixing it, they dodnt send it of to get repaired for about 2 weeks. so yeh

but hopefully ill have photoshop cs3 soon, meaning better picture colouring options

mouse's time to shine

ok, iv'e been practicing with my stylis pad, and am trying to work out how to give texture and depth, heres a quicky i did to my superhero alter ego to give the suit a texture like latex or leather

MOUSE BEGINS!

above is a superhero costume concept for myself that i drew, the design for it was infact thought up by my good friend michel. we had dicutions over whether my wepon would be a whip or twin billyclubs, and i settled on the whip for a tail esk wepon for this darwing, however the billyclubs are growing on me. the boots are my own aditions, cuz i LOVE those types of boots. though it is a dark colour scheame i also thought of doing grey, or even purple. however the black and white realy stands out. whilst i doubt my dreams of this version of me getting my own series or movie (coming soon: MOUSE BEGINS! coming to a screen near you). still this probably wont be the last you see of my alter ego (or my ego in general for that matter lol)
